Pointless Drivel: The Movie

If they made a movie about your blog, who would play you?

See, this is the kind of thing I think about.

I know who would play me. Bruce Willis. We've got the same hairstyle, the same smirk, the same smart-ass sense of humor.

After much consideration (and consultation--I'm not stupid) the part of Mrs. Fab would be played by Bonnie Hunt. Pretty, smart, wry, clever...

(How's that, honey?)

Now, there are two people at my work who comment fairly often, Eric and Sharra. Eric would totally be played by Michael Chiklis. Bald, manly, personable...

And Sharra..that's a tougher choice. But she is always so bouncy and perky and spirited, we decided Drew Barrymore would be the best choice to play her (thanks to Amanda for her assistance on the casting choice).

As for my fellow bloggers, that's a tricky one. I don't know as I would be qualified to cast for anyone that I haven't met in person.

But I have met Billy and Ginnie. So I guess I could cast those parts.

Billy would be played by Sam Shepard . Tall, lean, laconic, rugged...

After much consideration, the part of Ginnie would be played by Dame Judy Dench. Classy, intelligent, soulful...

Of course, Billy and Ginnie may have completely different ideas of who would play them if they cast their own movies. But that's cool. There have been plenty of James Bonds and Batmans.

And I guess we could cast Christine (who, for some reason, posts as Ellie Mae). Christine is feisty, sweet, and charismatic. She would be played by Reese Witherspoon (who would have to dye her hair red for the role).

I think it's fairly common at one time or another to imagine someone playing you in a movie. Isn't it? Oh please God, tell me it's normal. Tell me this isn't just another manifestation of my inevitable slide into dementia...

So who would play you in your movie?

Well, I would love to have some tall, gorgeous, willowy actress, such as Charlize Theron or Cameron Diaz play me, but since none really fit my look or my personality (well maybe Cameron) I have to go with whom EVERYONE tells me I look like and who seems to be able to play the goofy, any woman. Delta Burke

After seeing my cleavage, I can't believe you didn't include me in your script! You suck, dude.

Ms. M--Hey, nothing wring with Delta Burke, believe me!

Belle--Hey, if you had let me know you were gonna be in town last week, we could have met, and then I could have cast you...

Besides, Belle, who HASN'T seen your cleavage? LOL

So..who would play you? Mmmm?

I don't know who would play me, but Sam Elliot could play the husband.

I'd say Peter Lorre, but I hear he's retired, permanently.

Great!!! I love this post. It would be kind of cool to put pictures to the personality of people you have not met in person but only in text. My husband looks like Tom Selleck in his younger days. The first time my grandmother (have mercy on her soul)met my husband she said ooooo he looks like Tom Selleck. Then the first time my Aunt D met him she said he is a KEEPER he looks like Tom Selleck, laughs!!!!!! I can not think of one person for me but I will definitely get back to you with a name!

I would play myself... What do you think! I'm a very cool actress in real life! And for the boyfriend I would choose RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON!
Love him.... *sigh*

I don't really care who plays me as long as David Cronenberg directs.

Good questions. As long as I wasn't played by Pamela Anderson, I'd be happy. I have been told I look a great deal like a blond Ava Gardner or Princess Di (I know, they look nothing alike) so I give up on finding a look-a-like. I think an act-alike might be Charlize Theron.

My son would be played by (a young) Doogie Howser, though, and The Other Half looks a great deal like Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy).

I want to play me!

The really important question is...who would I have play The PK?

Viggo Mortensen, of course.

Viggo and The PK have nothing in common whatsoever (other than being male) but I don't give a damn...;)

Oh wow....who would play me?? Well of course I would pick someone dark haired and gorgeous (even if she doestn' resemble me..hehe) like Katherine Zeta Jones or Sandra Bullock. (Yes I know they will be busy starring the other commenters As for my hubby....well, when I met him years ago, I always said he resembled Richard Gere. I think it was the eyes. Soooo even though that resemblance is not as obvious to me anymore...I LOVE Richard Gere.. so there!! hehe :)

I love your choices for your movie. WHen is the permiere?? lol

The only actress I remotely look like is Cameron Diaz. Plus, she is kinda wild & bubbly, much like myself. But, she's probably 6 or 7 years younger than I am, so you'd have to drag her around for a few more years before she could play me!

I'd see that movie!

I'd have to have Isla Fisher
(Gloria from Wedding Crashers) play me because my co-worker and her husband saw the movie before I did and she said that "Gloria" reminded them of me because she looked like me.

But, she would have to act like Monica from Friends or Bree from Housewives.

Matthew Perry would have to play Roscoe and he'd have to act just like Chandler.

I guess I'd be a mix of Helen Hunt, Meg Ryan, Sally Field and Cameron Diaz. Try this linky and find our who you look like:

I'd have Melissa McCarthy - the lady who plays Sookie in Gilmore Girls - play me.

I'd choose Angelina Jolie to play me. She looks nothing like me, but the millions (hit movie:) of people who have never met me will assume that, since she's playing me, there must be some similarity... :D

Well, your right. I am not offended by your pick for me(although she is a bit of a "tart".) Anyway, I would agree with Bruce Willis for you. It is a good match. I don't know about that guy for Eric though. I would have to think on that a while to pick a better one. I post as Ellie Mae because a long time ago someone (Mr. Beesly, I've mentioned him) used to call me Ellie Mae Clampet, and it just stuck. Ya know, it just fits. It was either that or Elmyra, who was a character from the Animaniacs or Tiny Toons, I don't remember which.

Oh, I forgot. I voted for you.

Well, I have to say I couldn't agree more on your selection to play me in your movie.
Now, I have thought that Bruce would play me, but I must agree that he's more "Fab Like" than "Eric Like".
Your choice of Drew Barrymore was perfect as well.
By the way, might your idea for a movie revolve around your blog? Not a bad idea... now how to start it...mmmmmmmm....Got it!!
"It was a rainy Florida afternoon and I opened the door to see 22 people and a sack of lemurs...."
Thats definitly how a movie around you would begin.

I must also add that I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Damon play me in a movie. Shave the head and your good to go Matt!

This is just sooooooooo coooooool!
I love that idea!

I guess there is no limit, so, I'll go for a french actress who can play in english with an accent like mine...
So Catherine Deneuve would be my choice!

Blogger ShooShoo said...

Why, I would play myself, of course! But if that wasn't do-able (or if it's too boring), I guess I'd want someone offbeat like Zooey Dechanel or maybe Sara Rue.

Sounds like a great flick!!

First, I'd like to thank the academy, no, wait, I mean Mr. Fabulous for this honor.

Wow man, great idea, then again you are Fabulous, thanks for having me in the flick and I can handle this Shepard guy playing me, there is a resemblence.

I had to look up laconic.

And I love Eric t's opening...

i would have to go with Claudette Cobert for myself, have been told we are spitting images. as for leading man...Peter Sellers or Liam Neeson, has to be someone with an accent. and the movie would be a comedy with lots of Steve Martinesque physical stuff and Monty Python silliness

The face recognition software picks Charlize Theron as the famous person I most resemble. Also Sigourney Weaver and that has been remarked upon in Real Life. (I do venture there once in a while!)

But dahling, I so want to be like Grace Kelly in "Rear Window." I think my penchant for letting fly with raucous guffaws might disqualify that choice, though.
